Saturday was lazy! (: went to get the eye lash curler and met Celine for chit chat. we spent hours yacking at Canele. i love talking to Celine. shes got this sweet way of spilling the beans and hearing me spill mine. hehe. a pity Cheryl couldnt make it for chit chat aka bitching (but it was not really a pity! Cheryl closed her first deal - officially in black and white!) So, i finally had tea at canele. my first time other than sinful desserts.
Velvet Earl Grey (just looking at it has this calming effect on me)
Celine had a caramel thingy cake. i dont know, all things with caramel remind me of you. we shared a caramelish cake before, didnt we? (:
ONE photowhoring pic of the day!
There was this unique fountain thing jus in the centre of the space in Canele. its amazing. or mayb im jus too much of a mountain tortoise and ive never seen fountains this way. but yeah, it had this weird way of joining each other in the midst of nowhere. ah well, will bring other mountain tortoises there too to see it one day! haha!
Had shokudo for dinner (: still as yummy and we had alot of food. Cheryl, Daries and Manuel joined us. its so sweet seeing two couples eat in front of me. haha, they look so sweet serving each other food. i wished... ah, nvm what i wished. my food was good (:
Sunday saw me lazing around my house before headed off to church with JTL. we had lunch at Zion Road - having the supposedly famous Nasi Padang. i, for one, have heard alot about this nasi padang but ive never had a chance to try it!
Nasi Padang at Zion Road
DO you realise what i realise? alot of places which serve good food are closed on mondays :( but heres the contact number and the sign board of the place lest anyone has problem finding the place!
Check out our sumptuous spread! they have a whole range of dishes over there man! lots of different meats and other sinful things. sad to say, i noticed that very few (or say none) nasi padang places serve much veggies that have greens in them. but i did order some veggies
They have really awesome beef rendang. one of the best i've tasted thus far!
Some weird thing that i always order whenever i eat nasi padang. i think it has tofu and long beans? its nice though. hehe, i like.
It was overall pretty yummy, and filling and all within $20 (including drinks) for 2 people. not that its cheap but it sure beats ordering at food republic, having an ok serving of 3 dishes and paying $5ish6 for it! (: no doubt, nothing beats the harbourfront nasi padang. that will have to wait for another time when my throat is more cooperative to take fried stuff.
Pastor Prince's sermon was awesome. i particularly loved the part when he was talking about how people function and how there is glory and grace in submission to someone that's not smarter than you and etc. its not the fear of them that makes you submit but its because you choose to? aye, thats another post for itself la huh. haha! and then there's this batman video thingy they played at the end of the sermon. im still tryin to get that video so i could put it up on my blog. i tell you, NCC is way creative with their ways of introducing Christ to people's life. haha!
Sunday wasnt exactly sky high fantastic but at least i got to spend some time with Christ and also some time by myself. i found alot of answers on sunday.
I love my weekends. dont we all? (:
